There are so many new discoveries in astronomy, biology, physics, metaphysics... the list goes on. I’m so fascinated and excited about these new discoveries! Is the discovery itself a gift? Or is it a violation of privacy, ultimately destroying the secret altogether? In either case, it is a change of state. ‘From secret to non-secret. From the ether emerges familiarity, knowledge, awareness. This is the stream of consciousness fueling the evolution of how I see the world as an artist and becomes my primary focus in my current body of work in the Conjuring Secrets exhibition.
Learning is the process of discovering secrets. Secrets are everywhere. Where do they come from? Where have they been? Where do they go? With all of the noise and chaos engulfing the world right now, it’s easy to miss all of the really profound secrets uncovered over the past few years.
